those were the days (part 2)

recently, i m so in love with the past.

no no. not because i am living in the past.

but because i m reminding myself how happy i was in the past.

in the past, all of us.

yes, YOU and ME. everyone was so easily contented.

a chocolate, a new haircut, a lollipop can make us smile one whole day.

now, what makes us smile?

money? position? power? material goods?

how life has changed.

why has it changed? because we all grow up?

and in the process we forgot abt the slightest happiness tat can make our day.

Family

• i used to always stay over at ah ma's hse. play with pujio they all.
• mahjong with uncle, pam and ben.
• every sunday to jie jie's ah ma hse.
• go overseas with ah ma, ah chek, ah sim, pujio and meiyu to Australia and Thailand etc
• go overseas with jie jie ah ma, uncle, pam and ben to Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea, China etc
• dinner everyday with pa and ma
• Sentosa outing
• Chalet at Downtown east
• Ma taking leave during my exams to make sure that i study.
• Ah ma bringing slippers to fetch me from sch when it's raining.
• Ah chek playing chess with me.
• Me babysitting Pujio, washing his backside and feeding him porridges.

Friendship

• Meeting friends everyday and knowing their whereabouts everywhere they go. (even the last time when they shit or what's their grades)
• planning for sch programs together (staying back after school and climbing the gates)
• chionging for the malay rice stall (nee and my fav's stun)
• Gossipping about the latest couples
• i dont friend you, you dont friend me. and in the end we are still happy friends.
• writing letters to each other.
• writing postcards to each other especially when one is sad or during exams.
• doing banners together or leading one another during orientation camps.
• ponning school together.

Relationship

• How we all lie to our parents ( involving our friends' names) just to meet.
• fighting in the rain and then laughing at each other's sillyness.
• holding hands means everything.
• emptying our wallets without any single cents left just to get my fav chicken baked rice.
• an ice-cream that he passed to me. it was in fact the second ice-cream that he bought because the first one got melted.
• waiting for me below my hse for 3 hours when i had cramps and making sure that i was okay before he left.

Memories you are so sweet.

Dreams you are so perfect.

Reality you are so harsh.

Truth you are so hurting.
